Lets talk hair....
We asked on our Instagram if you had any hair questions, and our very own Honey (Hair Stylist Extraordinaire and Owner of Honey and Violet) responded. Here are some of your questions…

Q: Best shampoo for Blondes? I use Milkshake but it stains my skin.
A: I use System Professional Silver Shampoo. Many shampoos can dry out the hair, this shampoo leaves your hair with a soft silky result! You can buy this in our salon.
Q: What’s the best and worst thing you can do to your hair?
A:
Best: Treat your hair like you care for your skin. Use the correct products and I recommend a weekly conditioning treatment to ensure healthy locks!
Add on: Luxury System Professional treatments offered in our Salon. Get your energy code today!
Worst: Attempting colour services at home if you are unsure what you are doing. We often see so many mistakes on a weekly basis.
Add on: At Honey and Violet we take pride in our free colour consultations. Please ask in salon for more details.
Q: What’s your favourite part of hairdressing?
A: Without doubt, it is styling weddings. I love travelling to different venues, meeting my wonderful brides and being part of their special day! I’m a real people pleaser, I will go above and beyond for all my clients.

Q: Best de-tangling products? My hair is always in knots!
A: I use the compact and original Tangle Teezer. I keep the original Tangle
Teezer in the shower and use it after my conditioner or conditioning treatment. I use the Tangle Teezer to distribute the product evenly mid-lengths to the ends before rinsing. This helps to reduce tangles. I keep my compact tangle teezer in my hand bag for on the go!
Add on: Wella Elements have a fantastic leave in conditioning spray – de tangle your hair with this light weight and paraben free product.
Q: How did you start getting into hair?
From a young age, I showed an interest in styling (mainly my Barbie’s). After school, I started my career with an in-salon apprenticeship. After a long-employed career with some of the best salons in Scotland, I started my self-employed journey. I became ‘Lisa Blishaa Hairdressing’ before joining forces with the talented make-up artist, Nicola Denham (aka Violet). Honey and Violet was born in 2014.
Add on: Did you know Honey and Violet offer in-salon apprenticeships. I am working towards my qualified assessors award. Contact the Salon for more information.
