Instagram and Facebook are excellent tools for hair stylists to showcase their work. This means you can now find hairstyles based on real examples and easily track down who’s responsible for them. Social media is also great for inspiration to take along to your hair appointment.

Find out what others are saying out the Salon or Hairdresser/Stylist by checking out their facebook reviews or website testimonials. Reviews are fantastic for giving you an insight about the salon before you book! Although please remember, even the best salons can receive the odd bad review.

Book a consultation…

The consultation is key for letting the stylist know exactly what you want, but it can also be very helpful in terms of assessing your stylist too. We recommend a cut consultation which involves a cut and blow dry plus colour consultation during the appointment. This service is perfect if you’re not sure what you want regarding colour plus prepares your hair for colouring.

Don’t always go by price…

You may think that most expensive salon is the best, however this isn’t always the case! It’s much more important to research the salon or hairdresser/stylist before booking.
